The Village Sessions: DJ Anger Live at Shambhala 2014
Posted by: Amy Selekta on December 17, 2014There were many notable sets from 2014’s Shambhala Music Festival but none quite so talked about as when The Village Stage’s own head carpenter took to the stage! A guy best known for his hustle in the West Coast music community, DJ Anger played a climactic set that provided the soundtrack for the pivotal time when day turns to night.
Regaling attendees with an hour of pure party rocking bliss, Anger showcased his skills as he seamlessly moved between styles with no sound or genre off limits. An avant-garde artist with an uncanny ability to master the mashup, his ability to blend the latest in electronic music with tunes that may be more familiar to our Grandparent’s generation is unsurpassed! Classic example is how easily Anger mixes between The Jackson 5, Iggy Azalea, House of Pain and Major Lazer! And with Anger’s two decades of dedication to his craft, it’s no surprise that he’s able to cut and scratch with the best of them.
This mix is perfect for those that love the musical stylings of a classic mashup artist that couples the technical abilities of quick cuts and ingenious blends. Truly a DJ’s DJ, it’s almost hard to handle DJ Anger’s greatness!
If you haven’t heard of DJ Anger, you’d best get informed! Not only is he the lead carpenter with The Village Stage, he’s also part owner of Party People Sound Solutions; a mobile DJ and event services provider that specializes in the production and development of events in addition to DJ lessons. Further, DJ Anger is one of two associates responsible for the Victoria chapter of PK Sound.
