HYHT: The Upbeats – Diffused (Official Video!)

What can be said of the powerhouse New Zealand duo that is The Upbeats? Since meeting in high school back in 2001, Jeremy Glenn & Dylan Jones have been collaborating ever since. Hustling hard under the monickers Terror Snake & Downie Wolf they then formed The Upbeats in 2004. With releases on some of the biggest labels in Drum N Bass (and Dubstep under the name Crushington) the past 9 years have shown them to be an unstoppable force of ground shaking, funky, gritty sound waves. In preparation for their upcoming EP release on Noisia’s Vision Recordings, the music video for title track Diffused takes you on a cosmic journey of shamans and dragons and monoliths, oh my!
The Diffused EP hit Beatport today (January 14th) with a full iTunes and vinyl release coming January 28th and coupled with a North American tour that is already in full swing! If you live in one of the cities on the tour’s itinerary or even remotely drivable distance, do yourself a huge favour and check out the one, the only, The Upbeats! (at the time of this writing they are set to touch down in my home town of Calgary, so needless to say, you know where I’m off to!)
