It is no secret that What the Festival was one of our favorite festivals from last year. We’ve all been guessing and hoping while we waited patiently for them to announce the first round of artists who’ll be playing at their beautiful new location. Well our patience has paid off and it looks like it’s going to be a hell of a show!

One of the MANY things we enjoyed last year at What the Festival was the diversity. You had artists like Beats Antique playing alongside Ghostland Observitory who played along side Paper Diamond. This year’s line up has captured the same wide spectrum of music for people to enjoy.

Here is a little taste of who we are excited to check out this year:

A-Trak: Checking out A-Trak is no brainer for me. I’ve seen A-Trak a half-dozen times over the last few years and every single time he has brought the fury and destroyed the dance floor.  Plus anyone who can take Deadmau5 to task in such an intelligent and well thought out way is worthy of every ounce of respect I can muster

Fungineers: If you haven’t checked out the Fungineers, you should do yourself a favor and pour yourself a nice cup of tea and check out the video below. I never miss their shows because you never know who might show up to kick it with them.

Purity Ring: I have the sneaking suspicion that Purity Ring is going to be this year’s Ghostland Observetory for me. I knew nothing about them and was blown away by their show. From what I know and have heard from Purity Ring I think they are going to tear the metaphorical roof off the festival.

XXYYXX: XXYYXX is one of the hottest up and coming producers out there and the fact that he’s only 17 blows my mind. I remember what I was doing at 17 and it sure as hell wasn’t as awesome as what he’s doing.  His self titled album XXYYXX beautifully displays his haunting style of post-dubstep and I can’t wait to listen to what ever he’s been working on.

Honestly, the whole lineup is nuts and I had better get to figuring out how to clone myself so I can check out all the acts this year.
