All You Need is BASS

The Village Sessions: Chris B live at Shambhala 2012

All You Need is Bass and PK Sound are proud to present The Village Sessions. This ongoing podcast will feature the best performances from The Village stage, recorded live at Shambhala 2012.

Our third set features Calgary’s Chris B.  Chris B’s eclectic and extensive music knowledge & library has made him a local staple in Alberta and the West Coast festivals such as Shambhala.

Amateur Beer Steward, Sommelier & Mixmaster (of margaritas, that is) Chris B started mixing vinyl back when the groove was in the heart (i.e. the 90?s). In addition to his technically sophisticated turntablism & DJ side-projects such as InOrderToDanse, Chris B’s been involved in a plethora of promotional projects including theteknocollective, musicFirst, Discotecha and the oh-so-kinky Crimson Events.

Special thanks to PK Sound for bringing the bass; Shambhala Music Festival for throwing the party; Head Effect Mobile Recording who recorded and mastered this set; The Village volunteers for making it magical; and everyone who danced their asses off all weekend long. We also want send out an extra special thanks to J.F.Killah and Eradik for recording the intro and outro for our podcast and Mirical for the photo.

Stay tuned each week as we release another live set from the Village Stage. Sign up for our newsletter or like our Facebook page for advanced news of what’s coming up next!
