Slow Jam Sundays: Nahko Bear (Medicine for the People) Aloha Ke Akua
Posted by: Scott on December 23, 2012We survived the apocalypse! It came and went and the aliens didn’t drop down like I was hoping.. but perhaps the end of the world isn’t the end of civilization but the end of the old way of thinking? Perhaps this is the dawn of the new age of thinking, where we start to care more about each other, our impact on the environment. Maybe this is the shift where we have the education and technology to truly appreciate what we are, who we are, that we are all children of star dust. And if this is the case, perhaps we’ll understand that we’re all connected and our actions impact each other. We can take the idea of Christmas – generosity, giving, compassion, and spread it out throughout the whole year. We can make small actions that impact powerful changes and change our reality – our world – to what it should be. We control our own destiny.
So with this, I wish you a Merry Christmas and give you a slightly different Slow Jam Sunday. From our house to yours, Happy Holidays.
