Slow Jam Sundays: Justin Timbreline
Posted by: Dee on July 15, 2012It finally feels right to use the word summer here on the West Coast. The clouds have parted and we’ve been experiencing many days of clear blue skys and sunshine!! Such a nice treat! We were all wondering if we would ever see the sun again. So, with summer on the brain I thought to type “downtempo summer” into soundcloud today to find us today’s slow jam sunday.
The most current result brought me to Justin Timbreline’s Summer 2012 Downtempo Mix posted just 12 days ago. I pressed play and was instantly intrigued by the smooth and chill glitchy ambience with some beautiful and relaxing french vocals. Then, at the 10 minute mark, Justin Timbreline closes the sale by embracing my ears with the beautiful voice of Portishead. WIN! I’m in this mix now till the end and the sounds that are filling my room are exactly what I was looking for to wind down and truly relax.
