All You Need is BASS

Shambhala Experience Documentary Digital Release

Through I/O: An  Electronic Music Documentary Kickstarter Campaign

Shiver me timbers!

Fall equinox is just past a month, Halloween is days away, we’ve given thanks over turkey (or Tofurkey) dinners, and the leaves are going ‘crunch’ under our bootied feet. The summer is over, friends, and festival season a long winter away…. however, there is relief for our cold-weather blues!!

If you need a great film to watch while you cozy up with friends, the Shambhala Experience Documentary by Kevan McGovern is being digitally released October 26-November 27 through Kickstarter. The campaign is to raise funds for the completion and release of Kevan’s full length feature film: ‘I/O’ or ‘Input/Output‘, a film exploring the many facets of electronic music and its effects on people and culture. ‘I/O’ has been the dream and passion-project of this young filmmaker’s career – he wants to open the world’s eyes to the beauty and bonding and bass of electronic music culture. Can we hear a F**CK YES!?

AYNiB contributor Brie is featured in both films, having met Kevan at Motion Notion 2013 just before her interview for the Shambhala Documentary and I/O (watch for the Big Big Buttons). Other performing artists you know and love include Z-Trip, Opiuo, Dub FX, Datsik, Chali 2na, Rusko, Dieselboy, Stickybuds, ill-esha, LongWalkShortDock, and more.

IO_posterThe I/O Kickstarter campaign has officially launched and concludes November 27th, 2015. Please note: The Shambhala Experience documentary will ONLY be available during these dates!

So, donate today and get cozy with some serious made-with-love entertainment.

And please, please, please encourage all you know and love to support Kevan’s campaign: the more people who connect with electronic music culture the better – those of us who have experienced it have been profoundly changed. Part of the intention of this film is to connect with those already in bass culture as well as broadcast the benefits of this culture to an audience that has not yet been exposed to the culture, or who are curious (It’s safe to share this film with your parents!)

Let’s pay it forward and spread the Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect! … and amazing music, of course!
