All You Need is BASS

Motion Notion 2015 Lineup Announcement

Motion Notion is one of Western Canada’s top electronic music festivals. With a great mix of bass music and all things trippy, this festival has something for anyone. Coming to Golden BC, July 23-27th you have to know that they are going to be pulling out the stops this year. This first batch of artists is massive so here are some of the acts we’re most excited for.

There is no way that Noisia wasn’t going to be one of our top pics. They are giants of drum and bass and have crushed every party they’ve played.

Hug Life

There isn’t a chance in hell that you should miss Hug Life. This is probably going to be the set that everyone talks about on their ride home. If you haven’t checked him out before, you’re in for a treat!

Founder of Shogun Audio, this award winning drum and bass legend is going to be one of the show stoppers at Motion Notion this year.

Another massive drum and bass act for MoNo this year. Metrik’s debut album has been making waves this year and now we all get a chance to see the man in action.

Crazy Daylight

The glitchy ghetto funk is strong with this one.

Fat Pat

Calgary’s behemoth of bass is coming back to Motion Notion this year and is bound to bring the tastiest of basslines.

Doctor Werewolf

This drum and bass monster is going to rip the dance floor to shreds.

Father Funk

Funky breaks are on the menu with Father Funk. There is just something fun about funky breaks and Father Funk is bound to deliver.

Om Unit

Coming from the UK, Om Unit is a fine example of how vibrant the London drum and bass scene is. He’s been on the fore front of producing some of the best drum and bass of the last few years.

When I think about Australia, drum and bass isn’t the first genre that comes to mind, but listening to Shockone, maybe it’s time to change that. Shockone is the type of drum and bass you want to party to on a super loud system with all of your friends.

That is only a small sample of the goodness that is going to be at MoNo this year. The full lineup is coming out May 1st and we can’t wait to see who else gets added to the lineup.
