HYHT: Krampfhaft – Spit Thunder
Posted by: Hyjinx on December 24, 2012I could only shake my head when I first saw the tragic cell phone video of DJ Shadow unceremoniously booted off stage at a show in Maimi pop up on the web. The patrons of Miami’s Mansion Nightclub’s evening was cut short when DJ Shadow was informed by promoters he was playing “Too Future”. Even though DJ Shadow offers a heartfelt apology the ensuing uproar of profanity from the crowd because of his shortened set time is understandable.
The gem of a tune that was too 22nd century for Mansion was: Spit Thunder by Krampfhaft AKA Joris van Grunsven. Hailing from Utrecht, Netherlands, and with several releases already out and forthcoming on Rwina Records, Krampfhaft, a name to watch out for, and one producer I will definitely have my eye on.
Merry Un-Apocalypse Kids!
P.S. Thanks for the tip Shadow!
Update: Apparently, Dj Shadow has received an formal apology from Mansion Nightclub.
