Festival Fashion Round Up: May 2012
Posted by: Dee on May 15, 2012One thing I love about bass culture is the fashion that is starting to blossom inside of it. I’ve been attending bass events for over 10 years and I have to say the dance floor is really starting to have a unique look. It’s diverse, ethnic, practical and beautiful. Everyone has their own style but when they all mingle together it really comes together into something quite magical. I have a hard time sometimes focusing on the music when I’m surrounded by all you good looking people! All I can think of is: “Where did she get that top?” ,”What a wicked hat!”, “I love that gals style!” ,”What a kick ass hoodie that guy has on!”. Then, I head to the bathroom and someone asks me where I got my skirt from. It seems we are all admiring each other and wondering where everyone finds their cool digs. This thought lead me to the idea of hosting:
Dee’s Monthly Festival Fashion Round Up
I love to scour the internet trying to find that perfect item to wear on the dance floor. I have tons of online shop bookmarks, pintrest pins, and etsy favorites. So, each month I’ll round some of the best things that I find and post them here to share with all of you. Here is this weeks round up:
Waterproof Spiderweb Pixie Hood from TPF Faerie Wear
Hoods have become a common sight at bass festivals. However this is the first time I’ve seen one that is waterproof! Complete with soft fleece lining.
Dusty purple Women top with upper back Crochet/lace detail from Shovava
Beautiful back lace detail with openings to let your body breath on the dance floor. Hand dyed with organic cotton and recycled lycra.
Stained Glass Teardrop Dance Pants from Elven Forest Creations
Get complete dancing freedom with the simplicity of tieing up the bottom of these pants. Really shows off the great cut out effect and looks amazing with a colorful pair of leg warmers.
The Ruffle Butt Mini Skort from Gaia Conceptions
Way to bring back the skort! Run around the festival grounds all day long without a care in the world. A skirt with a built in boy short solves all those chaffing problems. Even better, it’s made out of hemp and organic cotton!
Aeronaut Bolero from Crisiswear Clothing
Feeling a bit chill but don’t want to cover up your rocking style? Put on a bolero! It gives you the perfect amount of coverage while still allowing you to show off you original outfit. Plus, this one is just amazing all on its own!
Sidewinder Vest from Crisiswear Clothing
Don’t worry guys, I won’t forget about you. Here is one bad ass vest for you to rock.
That’s it for this month. Stay tuned for next month!
