HxDB-2014-picks

HxdB Top 5 Bass Picks of 2014

#5: Doctor Jeep & Tony Quattro – “Torpedo” – Trouble & Bass

This tune is just massive. Peak time, 130 business from two of the best in the game. Forthcoming on Trouble & Bass.

#4: Timbah – “Lady Rainicorn” – Bad Taste Records

Another monster. Weird and simultaneously banging instrumental grime house hybrid shnizzys. Fuck yea.

#3: Taal Mala – “White Label Renegade” (Grenier Remix) – Modern Math Recordings

Instant classic in my books. Its perfectly rides that bass-y house vibe with a nod to classic electro. Love it.

#2: Random Movement – “Dancing Feet” (Sinistarr Remix) – Rubik Records

This track almost perfectly embodies the fun spirit of the remixer, hehehe. Seriously though, that shit is so infectious. Guaranteed smiles and dislocated hips on the floor.

#1: Fracture – “Loving Touch” – Exit Records

This was my top tune this summer, hands-down. Can play this at basically any time, and it’s a perfect transition between 160 & 170 bpm. Timeless.
