BASSpod: Fat Pat Decade Dig 2004
February 11, 2015A lot in happened in 2004, globally, musically and culturally. At the time, we didn’t realize how turbulent and trans-formative that year was.
For example, Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook. Flip phones and blogging became the future. Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunctioned. Napoleon Dynamite and Anchorman made us laugh. The iPod mini was born, while Ray Charles died. Serato carried the DJ torch to the new millennium. And then, Fat Pat made a mix. A mix that was swept under the carpet.
For this BASSpod, we’ve lifted the rug and resurrected Pat’s mix from the dust balls of a decade. In it, Pat takes us through the best in bassy sounds of the day. Lay back and take a listen while you reminisce about Janet’s nip slip.
